As the Chief of Staff at Single Grain, you will serve as the right hand to the founder, driving execution on high-impact initiatives, ensuring accountability, and optimizing operational efficiency. Your leadership will create clarity, alignment, and speed within the organization, ensuring strategic projects are successfully delivered.

This role requires a highly organized, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing big-picture vision with meticulous execution. This role will sit on-site at our Century City office in LA.

Requirements

You are someone who is: 

  • Highly Organized & Detail-Oriented – You can juggle multiple projects, track key initiatives, and ensure execution without missing a beat.
  • Strong Communicator & Influencer – You’re clear, direct, and firm, ensuring alignment across the team while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Tactical & Strategic Thinker – You can zoom in on execution details and zoom out to see the bigger picture.
  • Strong Decision-Maker – You can prioritize effectively, delegate smartly, and anticipate roadblocks before they become problems.
  • Leader with High Emotional Intelligence – You lead with empathy while driving accountability and performance.

Prior Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff role. 
  • Experience holding senior leaders and teams accountable to deliver on key initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional projects and ensuring alignment across multiple departments.
  • Strong executive communication skills – able to synthesize complex information, provide structured feedback, and communicate with clarity at all levels.
  • Proven ability to implement operational improvements that increase efficiency and reduce friction.
  • Experience managing and optimizing executive priorities, ensuring a CEO/founder’s time is spent on high-impact work.
  • A background in marketing, digital agencies, startups, or high-growth companies is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Execute Special Initiatives – Drive the execution of strategic projects spanning multiple teams, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Hold Teams Accountable and Be The Enforcer – Enforce execution on directives from the founder, ensuring priorities are completed with precision.
  • Act as the Founder’s Strategic Liaison – Serve as the bridge between the founder and the broader team, ensuring alignment, clear communication, and fast decision-making.
  • Facilitate Meetings for Maximum Efficiency – Set executive meeting agendas, track key decisions, and ensure follow-through on action items.
  • Drive Operational Improvements – Identify and implement workflow optimizations that enhance efficiency across the company.
  • Optimize the Founder’s Time – Proactively identify tasks that can be delegated, ensuring they are assigned to the right people, and surface key decisions before they become obstacles.
  • Be a Thought Partner – Provide structured feedback, challenge assumptions, and offer alternative perspectives to refine strategic decisions and push the company forward.
