About the Role

In this hybrid position, you'll work two days a week from our South Markham headquarters, with the flexibility of remote work for the remaining days. Offering a competitive salary (CND $95,000 Per Year) and comprehensive benefits, this role is crucial in enhancing our employee experience and spearheading HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Strategy Development: Craft and execute innovative HR policies that align with our goals and accommodate our rapidly expanding workforce.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead efforts to identify and onboard top talent, ensuring a seamless transition into our dynamic environment.
  • Workplace Culture Enhancement: Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace through team-building activities and recognition programs.
  • Performance & Talent Development: Develop and manage performance initiatives and support career growth, recognizing and nurturing high-potential employees.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention: Serve as a key contact for employee relations, fostering a supportive and engaging work atmosphere.
  • HR Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to employment laws while introducing innovative HR practices that elevate the employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Over 6 years of HR experience with a strong background in talent strategy and culture development.
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments is highly advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and strategic workforce planning.
  • CHRP certification is considered a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, able to partner effectively with executives and staff.
  • Proficiency with HR technology platforms, particularly Workforce Now from ADP, is preferred.
