Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for an exciting 8-week travel assignment in Fairfield, California. We're seeking experienced, compassionate RNs to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns in our state-of-the-art maternity unit.
Job Responsibilities• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using Jean Watson's Theory of Caring and Relationship Based Care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive care plans
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Provide postpartum care and education to new mothers
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
• Act as a patient advocate and liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Delegate tasks to care team members and supervise nursing care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Active California RN License
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Minimum 3 years of acute hospital experience in Labor and Delivery
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work 3x12 hour shifts (36 hours/week)
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems
• Commitment to culturally competent and age-appropriate care
