Position Overview:

This position is perfect for individuals with teaching experience, especially in Spanish for middle and high school students. While the primary focus is on Spanish tutoring, candidates with the ability to tutor additional subjects will be given priority. The role primarily involves using our online teaching platform, but candidates who can also work in a hybrid capacity (both online and in-person) at our office in McLean, VA will be considered. Availability on weekends, particularly Sundays, and evenings on weekdays is highly sought after.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions for middle and high school students
Help students develop strong organizational and study skills
Potential to teach SAT prep using our provided curriculum materials
Tutor a variety of academic subjects, with a focus on high competency in Spanish and other subjects
Serve as a role model and mentor, fostering academic confidence and motivation

Job Qualifications:

Previous tutoring or teaching experience is required
Strong academic performance at a top college or university (minimum GPA of 3.0)
A bachelor's degree is required
Proficiency in Spanish, with the ability to tutor additional subjects (such as Statistics, Physics, or Calculus) a plus
Great problem-solving skills and an independent work ethic
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Enthusiasm for working with students and helping them succeed

Compensation:

$35-50 per hour, based on experience and the number of subjects you can tutor
