Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Package/Mail Screener to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for screening, inspecting, and processing incoming and outgoing packages and mail to ensure security, compliance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and screen incoming and outgoing mail and packages for prohibited items, damage, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Operate screening equipment, such as X-ray machines or handheld scanners, to ensure safety and security.
• Verify package information, including addresses, barcodes, and contents, to ensure accuracy.
• Sort, organize, and distribute mail and packages to appropriate departments or recipients.
• Maintain accurate records of screened packages and mail, including any incidents or discrepancies.
• Communicate and escalate any security concerns or issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Perform additional mailroom or administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in mailroom operations, package handling, or a related field is a plus.
• Familiarity with mail screening tools and equipment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
