This is a split role .5 Recruiter and .5 Sr. Credentials Analyst for Aspire's Central Valley Region. Regular travel to Aspire Central Valley Regional Office, regional school sites and to recruitment activities will be required.

RECRUITER JOB SUMMARY -

Reporting to the Regional Director of Talent and working in partnership with Regional Leadership Teams, you will source and cultivate candidates, work with regional and site based leaders to create hiring strategies, and build pipelines of diverse, high-quality candidates for roles across Aspire.

SENIOR CREDENTIALS ANALYST JOB SUMMARY -

The Senior Credential Analyst, working under general supervision, reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and processes teacher qualifications for California teaching authorizations.  The senior Credential Analyst assists to ensure the compliance of the educators in our schools. This position helps to support both the organizational mission of recruiting, compliance and attracting high performing educators and our retention plan to ensure our excellent educators are highly satisfied and have the opportunity for an extended career at Aspire.    

The Senior Credential Analyst demonstrates job knowledge assuring for the effective, application, and implementation of certification processes in accordance with Title V and the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.  Incumbents receive limited supervision and perform a wide range of complex personnel technical support functions that require considerable initiative, accuracy, attention to detail as well as analytical and evaluation skills.

RECRUITER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers and regional leaders to understand and support with staffing needs, retention strategies, and candidate engagement
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with universities/colleges and other organizations to serve as the primary liaison to career services offices, department offices, campus groups and organizations, faculty, and students
  • Executes a recruitment strategy in order to build pipelines of internal and external candidates; source qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using online platforms, social media, networking, job fairs, recruitment events, email campaigns, cold calls, job postings and employee referrals
  • Screens and refers applicants to hiring managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate
  • Checks-in regularly with hiring managers and candidates to ensure seamless interview and hiring processes
  • Evaluates recruitment and selection criteria and make recommendations for process improvement
  • Maintains accurate recruitment data
  • Keeps current on Talent philosophies and approaches and integrates best practices

SENIOR CREDENTIALS ANALYST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Review and process assigned caseload to assist with verification of teacher candidate’s credentials or permits

  • Advise candidates of required steps to obtain appropriate credential or permit

  • Correspond with applicants, teachers-in-residency, and active candidates as directed regarding requirements

  • Review, process and forward applications to the California Commission on Teacher Credentials for issuance of credentials, certificates, permits as assigned·  

  • Remains abreast of credentialing, permit and licensing requirements in accordance with Title V, education code and other applicable laws, rules and regulations

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

RECRUITER QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; proven experience working and collaborating well with various levels

  • Strong technical, verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and tactically
  • Experience using applicant tracking software
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10-25% of the time; may increase up to 50% during peak hiring seasons
  • Knowledge of K-12 education strongly preferred

Minimum educational level:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience required:

  • 1-2 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, or similar role, preferably in K-12 or higher education

SENIOR CREDENTIALS ANALYST QUALIFICATIONS

 

Competencies:

  • Proven ability to provide timely and meaningful financial analysis in a dynamic, high-growth work environment

  • Current knowledge and experience with California credentialing requirements

  • Ability to read, understand, and apply instructions and policies related to the credential process

  • Good analytical skills; Ability to assimilate information quickly, identify problems if applicable, and make recommendations in a timely fashion

  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively

  • Excellent people skills; ability to build relationships, maintain constant communication, and provide support to assist them in meeting their professional certification requirements

  • Positive, customer service oriented, and professional attitude and integrity

  • Experience as a teacher or with K-12 education preferred

  • Maintain security of confidential information, accurate, and updated employee records.

 

Minimum educational level:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

Experience required:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a credential services department or related experience. 

  • Experience or strong interest in K-12 public education; former teacher or background in public education is a plus.


Recruiter Compensation: $67,030 - $86,047 - based on years of experience 

Senior Analyst: $75,813 - $97,322 - based on years of experience
