Job Title: Surgical Tech CST in Norman, OK

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Surgical Tech CST to join our dynamic and fast-paced healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will work alongside surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that surgical procedures run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures
• Assist in the preparation and draping of patients in the operating room
• Hand operative instruments to surgeons during surgical procedures
• Maintain surgical equipment inventory and perform routine maintenance
• Assist in transferring patients to and from the operating room
• Confirm and verify patient information and medical history
• Prepare and package surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
• Monitor and document patients' vitals during surgery
• Ensure compliance with surgical safety protocols and infection control measures

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Tech CST program
• Relevant certification or licensure (CST or NBSTSA) preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
