The Kebschull Lab at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Research Assistant . The Research Assistant will work under the general supervision of the faculty investigator and oversee the day-to-day data collection for the faculty member?s research studies. The Research Assistant will interact with the investigators and collaborators in a research environment and will carry out cutting-edge research in neuroscience, synthetic biology, and connectomics. They will write, run, and analyze standard and non-standard reports. There is the potential for authorship in scientific papers and participation in conferences.
Our lab develops molecular techniques and neuroanatomical and viral tracing methods to understand vertebrate brain organization and evolution. Current areas of focus are the development of next generation connectomics methods and spatial sequencing, as well as their application to mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders and different vertebrate species. Related publications include Kebschull et al. 2016 Neuron, Chen et al. 2019 Cell, Huang et al. 2020 Cell, and Kebschull et al. 2020 Science.
